Hello! We are the Career Collective.
Just a quick post to formally introduce you to the Career Collective consortium.
Earlier this fall, I joined more than 20 utterly dynamic, engaging, and enlightening professionals in a collaborative project to provide guidance for job seekers and careerists. Our goal is to provide just-in-time advice for anyone hoping to stand out in a difficult market. In conjunction with Quintessential Careers’ Job Action Day, November’s effort focused on providing workers and job seekers information, ideas, and concrete steps to secure their futures in a changed economy.
The Collective has its own website at http://careercollective.net, but monthly topical posts are also cross-linked on members' blogs.
You can also follow along with our hash tag #CareerCollective on Twitter - which Susan Ireland of the Job Lounge has tapped as one of her top 14 to follow. (And no, for those Twitter hold-outs out there, you do not need an account to follow along, so check out our tweets today!)

Great advice.Starting a business, even a small one, shows great initiative and helps a job seeker execute so many of the daunting tasks of job search in the process networking, etc. Thanks for creating a clear action plan for readers!
